Increasing Sodium Awareness

The REACH Project’s Sodium Reduction Initiative is part of a larger national effort to decrease our nation’s consumption of excess sodium and reduce rates of hypertension.  One of the most effective ways to promote this on a large scale is for organizations and communities to adopt policy changes that support healthier choices. Improving systems and making environmental changes that support access to healthy beverages and low-sodium food options can have a significant impact on health inequities and dietary intake, which can ultimately result in better health outcomes.
