Our Environment
The Chronic Disease Control and Prevention division focuses on health promotion and disease prevention by recognizing how our environment influences our behavior, the different systems where we live and work, and what social and structural environments affect our health. We strive to promote local policies and improve Bostonians access to healthy environments through population level programming. By linking practice to policy (at the population level), we customize our efforts within Boston communities through management, prevention, and overall well-being.
