Simple Steps to Reduce Sodium

Reducing the amount of sodium you eat is one of the best ways to prevent and control hypertension.  When sodium intake is reduced, blood pressure decreases within a week’s time. Because this change is so effective, reducing sodium intake has been the focus of many health education campaigns. 
 
There are several steps you can take to cut back on sodium, whether you’re cooking at home or grabbing something from the store.
