Swap the Salt

poster: make sure extra salt isn't in the mix of your mixed vegetables

Part of eating healthy is reducing your sodium intake.  Eating too much sodium, a main component in salt, can increase your risk of high blood pressure or hypertension, heart disease, and stroke.

The Swap the Salt campaign site provides tips on how to make better choices while shopping, suggestions on how to cook without adding salt, and other ways to prevent hypertension for yourself and for your community.
