Safe Shops has hopes that the shops that have switched to safer alternatives will continue to use them and also consider trying different products and practices in the future. Safe Shops has been able to leverage funds from other grant sources to put safer alternatives into the hands of participating shops at no risk or costs to the participating shop owners.
In addition, Safe Shops would like to continue celebrating pollution prevention successes through featuring shops in newsletters, providing certificates and giving shops banners. We hope that these incentives will not only keep businesses active in Safe Shops, but also generate enthusiasm amongst local shops about pollution prevention.
