| What is a Faith-Based Public Health partnership? |
The partnership between the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) and Boston's Faith-Based Community is an effort to better address the health needs of Boston's residents. BPHC is working to support the extraordinary work already being done within faith-based organizations by providing technical assistance, trainings, and informational resources. There are many collaborative opportunities for faith-based organizations and BPHC. We hope this page serves to help share resources and information for a healthier Boston.
Our mission is to develop and strengthen community partnerships that draw on the expertise of Boston’s faith-based leaders to create the change necessary for promoting health equities among Boston residents
Our office is very interested in finding out how we can best serve the needs of your community and we encourage you to contact us if you have comments or suggestions that you would like to share (Contact information on the right).

- On July 29, 2010 a group of faith-based leaders attended a faith-based public health orientation hosted by the Boston Public Health Commission. The agenda was planned as a result of a faith-based leader survey which indicated the health needs of the faith-based community matched resources provided by the Boston Public Health Commission. Results of the survey also highlighted the assets of Boston's faith-based community which prove invaluable to the health of Boston residents. Thank you to all attendees for the faith-based public health orientation a success.
