Thanks to generous funding from SEIU 1199, The Division of Violence Prevention, in partnership with the Child and Adolescent Health Division, will be launching a violence prevention marketing campaign during the Summer of 2009.
The main objectives of the VIP social marketing campaign are to:

Promote a message nonviolence and peace in Boston communities through a community based campaign design and use of new media techniques.

Influence behavior and shift social norms of youth and community members with a meaningful message and call to action to prevent violence.

Build a social network of youth and the community that influences the expectation of violence in Boston neighborhoods.

Feature the positive voice, ideas, and leadership of youth in Boston and provide opportunities for engagement.
