 VIP MEDIA OUTREACH

Thanks to generous funding from SEIU 1199, The Division of Violence Prevention, in partnership with the Child and Adolescent Health Division, will be launching a violence prevention marketing campaign during the Summer of 2009.

The main objectives of the VIP social marketing campaign are to:

  • Promote a message nonviolence and peace in Boston communities through a community based campaign design and use of new media techniques.
  • Influence behavior and shift social norms of youth and community members with a meaningful message and call to action to prevent violence.
  •  Build a social network of youth and the community that influences the expectation of violence in Boston neighborhoods.
  • Feature the positive voice, ideas, and leadership of youth in Boston and provide opportunities for engagement.
