VIOLENCE INTERVENTION ADVOCATE PROGRAM (COMING SOON)

The Violence Intervention Advocate Program aims to prevent future violence stemming from past assaults and improve quality of life for victims of violence. The program intervenes with assault victims in the emergency department and provides case management and referrals to services including counseling, safety planning, job training, health, and mental health. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM

The mission of the Domestic Violence Team is to increase awareness about domestic violence in the City of Boston and to support community efforts to address the problem.  This mission is met primarily through education, training, and technical assistance for health and social service providers, educators, clergy, employers, criminal justice professionals, and youth. FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER

The Family Justice Center (FJC) of Boston fosters collaboration in service to victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault.  We provide a safe and welcoming environment where individuals and families benefit from the availability of services offered by diverse nonprofit and governmental partner organizations.  We are committed to complementing and enhancing the health of victim service organizations throughout Boston.  As a hub of cooperative activity, the FJC facilitates continuous learning and serves as a resource center for professional development.  We strive to coordinate violence intervention and prevention services that are culturally responsive and accessible to all victims. TRAUMA RESPONSE AND RECOVERY

The Trauma Response and Recovery Program provides services to victims of violence, their families, and communities to cope with trauma and increase community awareness of the effects of trauma and resources to address it. More>>>  START STRONG The Start Strong Initiative aims to stop teen dating abuse before it starts. We focus on teaching 11-14 year olds teen dating violence prevention strategies and healthy relationships skills. By including Boston young people in every part of the programming, from planning to implementation, we are making sure that we are not just talking about teens. We are talking to them and with them and helping them become part of the solution to the very serious issue of teen dating violence. More>>>
