 CONNECTING FAMILIES TO SCHOOLS

Working in collaboration with the Boston Public Schools, Connecting Families to Schools provides home visits by social workers and advocates to families whose elementary school children are experiencing excessive school absences. Home visitors conduct a needs assessment, develop a referral plan to help families get appropriate services, and incorporate parent training curricula into their visit activities to help build and strengthen family resiliency.
