 TREATMENT AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES

The Bureau provides high-quality, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate treatment and recovery support services to residents of Boston, particularly to vulnerable and emerging populations and those historically difficult to engage in services. Treatment and Recovery Support Services are divided into three programs:

Opioid Treatment Services

Provides a continuum of care to opioid addicted individuals creatively, efficiently, and in a manner that promotes dignity and respect. Services include medically monitored methadone treatment, outpatient counseling, and acupuncture for detoxification and relapse prevention.

Residential Treatment

Entre Familia is the Bureau’s only residential program. It is a 6 to 12 month residential substance abuse treatment program that provides bilingual/bicultural, gender-specific substance abuse treatment to pregnant and postpartum Latina women and their children.

Outpatient Counseling

Provides evidence-based addiction counseling for highly vulnerable populations in Boston, such as minority men and women, trauma survivors, and individuals with a history of incarceration. Treatment models employed are informed by current research and practice in the field of addiction services.
