 OUR SERVICES

The Bureau provides a variety of addiction services including treatment, prevention, advocacy, and harm reduction to fill the unmet needs of highly vulnerable populations. The Bureau’s programs are divided into three services areas:

PREVENTION AND HARM REDUCTION

Through the Community Prevention Services and Harm Reduction and Overdose Prevention programs, the Bureau has expanded its focus as a treatment provider to working directly with communities. The Prevention and Harm Reduction service area reduces and prevents the poor health outcomes associated with substance use through outreach, education and training, neighborhood mobilization, and the dissemination of safety materials.

TREATMENT AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES

The Bureau provides a number of high quality treatment and recovery support services including: Opioid addiction services for individuals addicted to heroin and other opioids, outpatient counseling, including gender-specific treatment for men and women, and residential treatment for Latina women and their children.

RESOURCES AND REFERRALS

The Resource and Referral Center (which includes Central Intake and Room 5) provides triage, assessment and referral services on a walk-in basis to individuals seeking treatment for addiction.
