If you are looking for health care in Boston, we can help. The Mayor's Health Line is a free, confidential, information and referral service open Monday through Friday from 9 to 5. Call us at 1-800-847-0710 or (617) 534-5050 to talk to someone today.
If you are looking for health insurance, the Mayor's Health Line knows all the programs available to you, public or private. For many public programs, we can help you with the application process. In some cases, we can talk to the agency on your behalf.
Even if you have insurance, it may not be enough to cover all the costs associated with going to the doctor. We might be able to find a program that covers the services your insurance doesn't.
If you're looking for affordable prescription drugs, the Mayor's Health Line provides general information and referrals for disabled Medicare recipients under 65, and those Medicare members who speak a primary language other than English. Residents may also call for information packets to be mailed. Staff can help connect them to MassMedLine which screens individuals for eligibility to various prescription assistance programs.
If you're pregnant, you may be eligible for Healthy Start services. The Mayor's Health Line can tell you where you can go in your own neighborhood.
And if you're looking for a doctor, the Mayor's Health Line has information on all the hospitals and health centers in your community, as well as where you can get certain health services in Boston, such as breast cancer screenings, flu shots, mental health counseling, care for the elderly and many more.
Habla Espanol? Parle vous Francais? No matter what language you speak, our staff can help find the health program right for you and your family.
