Courses
at the DelValle Institute are designed for a wide range of medical, public health,
and public safety personnel. Students who have enrolled in DelValle Institute
courses include Community Health Center Staff,
EMS Professionals Infectious Disease Specialists and Physicians. The Institute
assists professionals and organizations that serve the residents of Boston,
either directly or through collaborative partnerships or mutual aid agreements.
DelValle courses include both awareness-level and specialized skills-based
courses and presentations, with the ability to customize for particular audiences.
Courses employ a variety of learning methods, including lecture, table top exercises,
group workshop activities, and hands-on practical exercises.
Registration
Advanced registration is required for all courses. To register for any course click on the course title and a PDF with the course description and registration sheet will appear. Please print out the registration sheet and fill in all required information and fax it to 617-343-1310.
Accreditation
Continuing professional education builds and maintains skills and professional
growth. The DelValle Institute recognizes participation in its professional
development programs in several ways, depending on the course and level of participation.
Courses are designed to meet OSHA requirements for safety training, as noted
in individual course descriptions. Certificates are awarded to reflect hours
of training, and OSHA standards met where appropriate.
CME-accredited
courses are sponsored by the Boston University School of Medicine. The Boston
University School of Medicine is accredited by Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. To

Nursing CEUs are provided through the Ohio University School of Nursing.
Office of Emergency Medical Services CEUs are also provided.
Other CEU credits are pending.

Courses begin at 8:00 a.m. unless otherwise noted.
Class Cancellation Due to Weather
If severe weather forces us to cancel a class, a voice mail will be posted on
the DelValle Institute phone line (617-343-1370) by 6:45 a.m. for morning classes
or 2 hours prior to afternoon or evening classes. Students registered for classes
that are cancelled will be given priority for available seats in future offerings
of that class. Please contact us for assistance in signing up for a future class
if the date you desire is filled. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate
you.
