The mission of the HIV/AIDS Services Division is to ensure that all People Living With HIV (PLWH) in the Boston Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA) have equal access to a comprehensive continuum of HIV care. These efforts include, but are not limited to:
-
Planning for the delivery of HIV health and health related support
services;
-
Funding for HIV services including culturally and linguistically
competent medical case management, oral healthcare, primary
care, HIV medications, and support services;
-
Funding for targeted services for PLWH in communities of color;
-
Ensuring that funded services meet quality standards and
evaluating the impact of services on the health of PLWH;
-
Administering an HIV dental access program for the EMA and
Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The HIV/AIDS Services Division is made up of five programs: Client Services, HIV Dental, Minority AIDS Initiative, Planning Council Support, and Quality Management. These programs are integral to the distribution of Ryan White Part A funding within the Boston EMA and the success of our funded agencies to promote health and enhance quality of life for PLWH.
